Sean Gil brings over 34 years of combined experience in global investment banking, executive recruiting, and career services management to his current role as the Director of the Career Center at the University of California Riverside. Under his leadership, the center has seen transformative growth through the strategic integration of diversity-focused initiatives and partnerships with academic leaders. Notable among these are the creation of the Career Readiness Assessment Team (CREATE) and the implementation of the Faculty Ask Me Anything (AMA) series, which annually engages industry professionals with over 3,000 students across disciplines. His efforts have earned him the prestigious 2023 NACE Career Excellence Award. Additionally, Sean’s dedication to diversity and inclusion is reflected in his support of the annual National ERG Summit and his development of targeted services for underserved communities at California State University Fullerton, earning him finalist recognition for the NACE Chevron Award. Sean holds an MPA with an emphasis on Human Resources Management from California State University Fullerton, where he graduated with a 3.98 GPA.
