Vice President, Intellectual Property & Licensing, Raytheon


 

Tanuja Garde is the Vice-President for Intellectual Property & Licensing at Raytheon Company.

 

Prior to this position, she held IP leadership roles in other large companies.  She also served in the US Government as the Deputy Assistant USTR for IP and Innovation, where she was the lead negotiator in several bilateral and multilateral IP and trade negotiations. 

 

Prior to her work in the government, Ms. Garde worked at large international law firms and also taught and conducted research in international and comparative patent law at the University of London’s Queen Mary IP Research Institute, where she held a Herschel Smith Research Fellowship, as well as at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, where she was the head of the U.S. Department. 

 

Ms. Garde is admitted to practice in California and is registered to practice as in-house counsel in Massachusetts. She is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Ms. Garde is a graduate of Duke University (with Distinction in Chemistry) and Washington University School of Law.
